| Amegakure (雨隠れの里, Amegakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in Rain") is a small, yet highly industrialized hidden village located in an unnamed country. Its architecture is composed of several metallic skyscrapers with rowed ducts connected to them and mazy power lines surmounting. A number of smaller villages also surround Amegakure. As its name suggests, it rains almost constantly due to a storm above the village. The country is rich with forests, some consisting of giant mushrooms or bamboo. It also seems to have many rivers and deep ravines. Kusagakure is skilled in diplomacy, a trait they constantly use to read the movements of other countries and stay one step ahead of them. They also analyse techniques from other villages in a similar manner. Because of these principles others find it hard to read the shinobi from this village's attitudes. In terms of the village's appearance, Takigakure seems to be based on mostly Southeast Asian aesthetics. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja. When the Fourth Shinobi World War began, the Land of Iron joined the Shinobi Alliance and is fully prepared to participate in the war against Akatsuki's Eye of the Moon Plan. It is located among three mountains called the Three Wolves (三狼, Sanrō). Its ninja specialize in manipulating pre-existing ice and over the years have learned to freeze water to create ice of their own. The ninja from this village had a special "chakra armour" which protected them from most attacks while amplifying the user's abilities, and making them virtually immune to Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, and their techniques arsenal typically used ice in the forms of various animals. Having previously been the Land of Spring, time and weather had eroded at the machine heating the Land, and the technology ceased to operate, returning the land to its original state. Initially, Orochimaru claimed that he founded this village so that skilled ninja would find their purpose in life without being beholden to the fickle and warmongering priorities of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. In actuality, Otogakure was not really a village, but a group of hideouts and bases scattered throughout the Land of Sound and various other countries. Sound ninja use a diverse amount of techniques, which are mostly centred around the modifications and mutations Orochimaru gave them. After Orochimaru's death, clans that had associated with the missing-nin came together and kept the name of the Hidden Village. The leading clan within the village is the Fuma Clan.
