  With this technique, one replaces their own body with a block of wood or some other object, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

  Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it.
  The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.

  This technique is used by sensors to detect someone's chakra. Using this technique, sensors can tell when enemies are approaching, and can easily track down targets. The range of this technique varies between sensors.
  
  
• Body Flicker Jutsu

  This technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. The different hidden villages have variations of the Body Flicker Technique, all of which involve some extra element aside from the movement itself. The extra element is usually some sort of substance used to distract the opponent, such as leaves or sand. Gaara, for instance, uses the Sand Body Flicker, which uses sand to cover his movements. Other varieties include the Mist Body Flicker, Water Body Flicker, and Leaf Body Flicker. The Fourth Raikage combined the Body Flicker Technique with the Lightning Release Armor which allowed him to dodge even Amaterasu in a split second.

  The user emits lightning in the shape of a spear from its mouth, which then pierces the enemy. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade.

  This technique is somewhat of an enhanced version of the Beast Tearing Palm. It used chakra to infused with and condense a mass amount of wind to form a massive demonic-like claw extending from the user's dominant hand to strike and grab a target, as well as deflect any weapon or attack. In addition to making it a deadly short to mid-range weapon, the extending claw also carries tremendous force that can devastate anything in its path without affecting the user, making it useful for dislodging solid and heavy objects.

  This technique is a pinpoint slashing strike, where the user emits chakra from their fingertips and materializes it into an invisible sword that assaults the enemy in a gust of wind and making a slicing sound. If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of wind kunai, then this technique is an unavoidable long sword. It leaves very deep slashes on the enemy.

Personality || Nanase is optimistic, curious, out going, and believes that no matter what has happened, something good is always around the corner and the sun will always shine again. She does not enjoy talking about her feelings. While generally upbeat, Nanase gets easily irritated when bored and with nothing to do to entertain herself. She despises selfishness, and when faced with a careless, selfish act by someone close to her, she tends to take it personally; however, she's pretty quick to return to her sunny disposition.

Nanase is sarcastic and loves humor and constantly cracks joke, enjoying making others laugh. She is encouraging, and kind hearted, and will do anything and everything to make sure her friends are happy. She tries not interfere with other people's plans and is rather laid back; never possessive or jealous. She treats others the way she wants to be treated and lives life based on a 'live and let live' policy. While being a good conversationalist, she speaks her mind and doesn't hold anything back. Nanase does not like mind games and prefers straightforwardness, expecting it in return.

Loving adventure and danger, Nanase has a no-holds-barred take on things, especially when it comes to fighting. While using her intelligence and thinking her actions out for the majority of the time, there are moments where her impluses will take over and she will jump into a situation without thought. Crisis brings out the best in Nanase, performing her best under pressure.

Other || Nanase mainly uses nintaijutsu to fight. Combining her lightning chakra, she infuses it with her taijutsu and if she simply touches her opponent she can send electrical charges through their body; screwing up their nervous system, damaging internal organs, or just plain old killing them.

History || Nanase was born in Kumogakure, the youngest of three children to civilian parents. Her bond with her brothers is strong, though when they were younger, they use to be at each other's throats. When she was three, Kiato began to attend the ninja academy. Both of her parents were against the idea, but they allowed him to attend. Two years later, however, when Mahiko attempted to follow his brother, Nakone and Misa decided to leave Kumo and they moved to Konohagakure. This move however did not dissuade the brother and he too attended the ninja academy.

Nanase was always one to follow after her brothers, so with both of her siblings training to become ninja, that's what she would do too. Two children becoming ninja, however, was more than enough for Misa; a third child, also her only daughter, had the woman putting her foot down. The relationship between Nanase and her mother began to grow strained from this point, and things only became further delayed when, due to Nakone's work as an engineer, the family had to move back to Kumogakure.

Remaining persistent, Nanase finally managed to convince her father to allow her to attend, in turn getting her mother to allow her to go. Joining a year late, Nanase worked hard to jump back into the class she should have originally belonged to. After graduating and being put onto a three man squad, Nanase was always eager to go on missions, especially higher-ranked missions. She trained with her brothers often and despite her mother's attempts at keeping Nanase from going out, the young kunoichi always found herself free. Through the years Nanase worked hard to move through the ranks and when she was seventeen, she moved out of the house.
